Manager - Supply Chain Manufacturing Ops Planning

Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations practice is a leader in helping companies integrate business strategy with supply chain initiatives to drive operational excellence. Supply Chain Planning

Our Supply Chain Planning practice works with clients to develop strategies, define future solutions built on leading capabilities, and implement process and technology solutions. We help build the business case for changes that are aimed at carefully defined objectives, including revenue growth through improved customer service, accurate financial projections for stakeholder guidance, reductions in working capital, and improved supply chain cost and efficiency.

Work you’ll do

You along with dynamic colleagues will help companies develop, implement, and operationalize multichannel customer interaction capabilities for both external and internal customer-facing operations. As a Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. Manager level responsibilities include: providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement. You will be expected to implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. You will have the opportunity to lead small engagements or components of large, complex engagements.

At Deloitte Consulting LLP, our Strategy & Operations practice provides a wide range of services across multiple industries and the entire value chain. As a member of this team, you’ll work collaboratively with talented and innovative strategic thinkers on Product Development, Supply Chain Strategy and Planning, Sourcing and Procurement, Logistics and Distribution Operations, Lean Operations, and Mergers and Acquisitions projects. You’ll also use your knowledge and experience to help clients improve and enhance their global operations to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving business landscape. Required:

  • Expertise in supply chain planning process, technology and organization design covering one or more of the following areas; sales and operations planning, demand planning, supply planning, supply chain flexibility and/or supply chain planning performance management.
  • Knowledge of integrated supply chain planning strategy, vision and conceptual design.
  • Experience in inventory management and capacity planning.
  • Managers can lead small engagements or components of large, complex engagements.
  • A minimum of 6 years consulting and/or industry experience is required.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ability to travel 80-100%.

In addition, successful Managers will also have the following preferred skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.
