Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager, Strategy & Operations (S&O), Supply Chain and Manufacturing Operations in New York City, New York, and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and clients nationally.

Work You'll Do

Lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative strategic sustainability, business, and technology solutions to clients to create a strategic, competitive advantage. Enhance Automotive and Manufacturing industry clients' success with transformation initiatives through gathering information and documenting existing operations, comparison against relevant industry benchmarks, and propose alternative practices. Oversee the design, development, testing, and evaluation of integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including logistics and material flow, total cost of ownership analysis, and production coordination. Analyze data and make recommendations to Senior Managers to improve project execution through the development and tracking of milestones, management of project risks, staffing requirements, and development of change management communications. Manage project teams by interviewing personnel, determining equipment needed, reviewing deliverables, coaching on consulting strategy, and conducting performance evaluations. Oversee teams that conduct strategic analysis and provide recommendations by analyzing company needs and assessing financial market reports and data, including Capital IQ, IBIS World, Kennedy, and Alacra. Facilitate the implementation of sourcing strategies including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model development and Request for Proposal (RFP) issuance using Ariba and Emptoris e-sourcing tools as well as analysis of contracts, licensing, and supplier negotiations. Implementing future product strategy using Noise, Vibrations and Harshness (NVH) Comparison, Interior / Exterior, and Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) benchmarking data from competitor product evaluations. Lead the analysis of market research utilizing competitor vehicle external and internal benchmarking, teardown analysis, mystery shopping, and primary customer insight development. Supervise the development of business cases and execution of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategy for Automotive and Manufacturing companies. Recommend systems and process improvement changes by applying lean manufacturing methodologies, including Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, and Kanban, as well as Continuous Improvement techniques, including Kaizen, DMAIC and Ishikawa diagrams to optimize business practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any), Business Administration, Management or a related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience providing business process optimization services to companies in the Automotive and Manufacturing industries.
  • Must have five years of experience with:
  • Conducting strategic analysis and providing recommendations through the analysis of company needs and assessment of financial market reports and data including Capital IQ, IBIS World, Kennedy, and Alacra;
