Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Manager, Strategy & Operations (S&O), Business Model Transformation (BMT) in Chicago, Illinois and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including engagement management, client management, business development, practice development and eminence, and people development. Develop practical solutions and methodologies; assist in developing thoughtware and point-of-view documents. Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices. Support the delivery of complex large scale system transformation programs to identify, design, and implement innovative business and technology solutions for financial services firms using Oracle E-Business Suite applications, including AP, AR, Assets, Financial Reporting, GL, and HRMS modules. Assist team with the development of templates for data analysis, process design, business controls, and governance structures using Oracle Workflow, MS Visio, SQL, and MS Excel. Oversee team in conducting risk analysis utilizing Palisade @Risk and Monte Carlo simulations to analyze and identify risks and future outcomes based on probability distributions and provide executive recommendations to inform decision making on improvement opportunities. Guide the assessment of financial market reports and data, including IBIS World, Forrester, Gartner, and Kennedy. Direct operational and financial due diligence operations using Hoovers, Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters platforms to conduct SWOT analysis, industry research, competitive benchmarking, market assessments, and stock analysis and reports to recommend organizational strategy and to identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities and risks. Manage teams in performing strategic cost analysis on operational and capital expenditures using MS Excel and Tableau and execute statistical analysis using Stata, including regression testing, conjoint analyses, and predictive modelling to advise clients on identified profit and growth opportunities. Oversee and administer client portfolios using HiPortfolio and manage day-to-day client relationships to precisely reflect engagement contracts and client needs. Improve quality of deliverables through verification and validation of results and support PMO execution using benefit trackers and RACI metrics. Mentor and coach junior team members and provide guidance and support towards onboarding, deployment and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • Must have five years of progressively responsible experience providing strategic BMT consulting services to clients in the financial services industry on behalf of a global consulting company.
  • Must have five years of experience with:
  • Supporting the delivery complex large scale system transformation programs to identify, design, and implement innovative business and technology solutions for financial services firms using Oracle E-Business Suite applications, including AP, AR, Assets, Financial Reporting, GL, and HRMS modules;
  • Developing templates for data analysis, process design, business controls, and governance structures using Oracle Workflow, MS Visio, SQL, and MS Excel;
  • Conducting risk analysis utilizing Palisade @Risk and Monte Carlo simulations to analyze and identify risks and future outcomes based on probability distributions and providing executive recommendations to inform decision making on improvement opportunities;

  • In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master's degree in the stated field plus three years of experience.
