Manager - Life Sciences Operations Transformation Apttus
Life Sciences companies face a litany of challenges-shrinking pipelines, loss of exclusivity of existing assets, waning effectiveness of traditional commercial engines, and increased regulatory scrutiny-that are forcing them to rethink their traditional go-to-market approach.
We're looking for practitioners who will work alongside Life Sciences organizations from Big Pharma to Med Device and Bio-Tech, to drive business value through end-to-end delivery of solutions based on "Heart of the Business" operational improvements.
Work you'll do
Managers lead project work streams or components of large, complex engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large Life Sciences companies.
Typical project responsibilities of a Manager could include:
- Develop the detailed, quantitative analysis work associated with developing meaningful insights to address Life Sciences clients' complex business issues
- Participate in setting engagement objectives and scope
- Develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope
- Design deliverable content to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs
- Strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results
- Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities
Deloitte Managers in the Life Sciences practice work with a project team dedicated to a single client, taking direction from the project leader. Our Principals/Partners/ Directors serve as the project leaders and Managers work with them and other Consultants at all levels, often with exposure to clients' C-level executives, organizational leaders and team members. Managers will lead work streams of client projects and contribute to the overall engagement delivery. Project teams work onsite with the client team, typically necessitating travel three to four nights a week.

Deloitte Strategy and Operations is seeking an Apttus Configure Price Quote and Contract Lifecycle Management candidate to design and develop industry leading pricing and contracting solutions. Our practice consists of the industry's leading strategists and technologists and our clients expect we combine the expertise of both and design leading solutions that drive value in their organizations.
Or team is currently seeking leaders in CPQ and/or CLM with Apttus experience that have experiences including:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university with strong undergraduate academic record
- 6+ years of professional experience in Life Sciences industry, a few years functioning as a Manager in a Consulting environment.
- Demonstrates consistent career progression with increasing levels of responsibility; performed above expectations in professional roles
- Superior critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently; lead teams focused on specific work streams of large projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and MS Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Willingness and ability to travel 80+
- Senior-level client engagement
- Detailed understand of the configure price quote and/or the contract lifecycle management process
- Functional and Technical requirements gathering and grooming
- Apttus solution design
- Apttus configuration (CLM and/or CPQ)
- Apttus Product and Pricing integrations
- Internal SFDC and External Data management and Integrations
- Data migrations supporting system migrations or M&A activity
- Test plan and quality management
- System retirement (sunsetting other CLM/CPQ technologies)
- Contract template strategy and development
- X-Author excel and word template creation and management
- Agile development experience
- Experience in Lifesciences (bio-pharmaceuticals or medical technology) a strong preference
- Advanced degree in business (e.g., MBA) from a top tier program
- Exceptional interpersonal, team-building and communication skills
- Ability to lead small teams and own deliverables
- Outstanding integrity, initiative, creativity, and passion
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte's consulting offices
