Role Description

The BP&A Business Partner organizations providespecialized finance-related services in support of the business leaders of thefirm.

This Business Partner role will be focused on the ConsultingCommercial/State business. Consulting'sprimary Service Areas include Strategy & Operations, Human Capital,Technology, and Products & Solutions. This role is responsible for providing support to Service Lineleadership to ensure effective P&L management while providing transparencyof expected performance during the forecasting as well as planningprocesses. He/she will provideactionable insights and recommendations to business leaders based on thoroughunderstanding of financial and operational results. Additional focus is on supporting thebusinesses on executing their strategic operational objectives and undertakingad hoc analyses and special projects.

Job Responsibilities

In providing finance-related services to the business:

  • Explain, present and analyze the financial performance ofthe business
  • Provide meaningful, actionable insights, advice, andrecommendations on historic and the future financial performance to theBusiness' leadership
  • Support the business leader to successfully implement thebusiness strategy
  • Participate in strategy development and planning, facilitateplanning and forecasting processes and develop metrics to monitor theperformance against strategic objectives
  • Deliver timely financial analytics and business counsel toeffectively measure business performance against strategic priorities
  • Support an efficient and effective planning and forecastingprocess that produces accurate, achievable plans and forecasts that align withbusiness's strategic objectives
  • Support the business in protecting, growing and optimizingthe assets of the Firm
  • Explain and analyze the business' financials
  • Support initiatives to help the business in achieving itsstrategic objectives
  • Continuously improve BP&A's organizational efficiencyand effectiveness by leading internal change initiatives

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related subject
  • CPA or MBA preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant finance experience,preferably in a professional services firm and/or with a focus on FinancialReporting & Analysis
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
