Manager - Corporate Real Estate and Location Strategy
Deloitte Consulting's Real Estate & Location Strategy practice helps companies across industries, and around the globe, address their most complex and challenging location and footprint issues. Work you'll do
As a Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative solutions for large companies. Manager level responsibilities include: providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, defining solution requirements, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall strategy, and engagement management. You will be expected to implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage teams. Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.
We are looking for Managers with experience in site selection and location strategy, including country/market entry strategy, facility deployment, decision framework development, global location and site benchmarking, talent market benchmarking and evaluations, location operating conditions screening, country comparative risk comparisons, variable operating cost modeling and business case development. Knowledge of land, building, business park, and investment zone due diligence and validation are a plus. Experience with utility and transportation infrastructure evaluations and/or government incentives and real estate negotiations preferred.

- A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant management consulting and/or location strategy and site selection consulting.
- A proven track record of successfully delivering professional services.
- Strong oral and written (story boarding) communication skills.
- Cost modeling and data visualization skills.
- Proven leadership skills, with strong team-oriented interpersonal skills.
- Experience dealing with large, complex multi-variable problems.
- Ability to travel up to 80-100%
- A willingness to travel on a global scale.
- MBA or a Master's degree in either real estate or engineering
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to exercise mature judgment
- Strong presentation skills and an effective management presence
- Eagerness to mentor and counsel junior staff
- BS in Engineering (Civil, Construction, Mechanical, Industrial) or BS/BA in Geography
- Language fluency in English plus at least one of the following: Spanish, Portuguese, German, Mandarin, or Japanese
- Experience and understanding with robotic process automation, including vendors such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.
- Familiarity with information technologies and platforms: such as legacy ERP, cloud software services, and customer services applications
- Experience with analytics to evaluate and optimize business processes
