About Financial Advisory

Financial Advisory (FA) practice of Deloitte China provides strategic and financial advisory services to clients throughout all phases of the economic cycle. FA comprises several distinct but related global service lines whose shared principal objective is the creation and enhancement of shareholder and stakeholder value. We are dedicated to providing clients with a full range of services, including:

Valuation and Modeling Services guide and advise clients on valuation methodologies and provide valuation advisory services relating to business interests. These include intellectual property, intangible assets, common and preferred stock and other securities, partnership interests, employee stock option plans (ESOPs), private debt instruments, options, warrants, and other derivative products relevant to our clients.

As a Manager / Associate Director, you will

  • Lead team to conduct fixed assets appraisal, real estate advisory, and real property valuation for financial reporting, taxation, transaction, financing, litigation and strategic management purposes
  • Execute property valuations, performing cash flow and financial analysis modeling, conducting market research, report writing and proposal preparation
  • Perform valuations for financial reporting purposes (such as purchase price allocation) and provide technical support to audit on fair value financial reporting matters under HKFRS, IFRS PRC GAAP and US GAAP.
  • Execute business valuations, value calculation including financial modeling and advisory engagements, performing business and financial analysis, conducting industry research, report writing and proposal preparation
  • Plan scope of work, monitor supervise and review work of staff on Valuation Advisory Services engagements
  • Draft reports for partner review and report of findings to clients in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance within the team with Deloitte policies and quality/performance standards
  • Participate in major client pursuits including proposal preparation
  • Manage and supervise staff in day to day work
  • Be responsible for group administration, training, overall evaluation and counseling of subordinates

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or above in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, business administration or related disciplines
  • Certification of ASA, CMI, MRICS, CFA, CICPA, HKICPA, CPA, or relevant qualification is preferred
  • For Manager, 5 years' (Associate Director, above 8 years') of relevant work experience in accounting or consulting firm, investment bank or independent valuation firm, experience in Big 4 accounting firm is a plus
  • Strong analytical skill with high commitment to quality client service
  • Strong sense of business, consultation and communication skills, self-initiation, good team player and willingness to work under pressure
  • Mature, proactive and committed
  • Excellent project management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and business development skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, including both technical and business writing, good documentation and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel
