Lead Application Developer

Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Application Developer in Princeton, NJ.

Work You'll Do

Provide advice on all stages of the software development life cycle, including technical design, program coding, testing, debugging and requirements documentation. Responsible for reviewing architecture, designing, developing, coding, unit testing, building, deploying and supporting software applications using web development tools, including IASP.NET MVC, HTML, .NET, WinForms, WCF, and Representational State Transfer (REST). Perform turning of the WinForms applications using Redgate ANTS Memory and Performance Profiles. Serve as a technical leader by instructing, directing and monitoring development deliverables and reviewing the work of other application developers. Contribute to the development of charts for large-sized projects and designing complex reporting solutions with OpenXML. Provide on-going support to team leadership by performing technical product evaluation to find the best fit that meets business needs. Participate in requirements gathering with the Product Planning Team and capture these business requirements into structural UML diagrams, including activity, use case, sequence, class and component diagrams. Provide recommendations for application development component and data architecture design, integration and configuration management, performance monitoring, frameworks, and quality assurance review. Leverage advanced features of the source control management system in order to improve the deployment process of the software application, including code review, file management, merge tracking, bug tracking, mid-engagement update, and speed of check-in/check-out. Support development of the REST web service standard to fulfill business requirements by utilizing architecture and web technical tools, including C#, Java, Web Server (IIS), and API. Responsible for writing automated integration tests for user interfaces, business services and data services for Winforms-based application using MS Visual Studio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in the delivery of business software solutions for a professional consulting firm.
  • Must have five years of experience with:
  • Reviewing architecture, designing, developing, coding, unit testing, building, deploying and supporting software applications using web development tools, including ASP.NET MVC, HTML,.NET, WinForms, WCF, and REST;
  • Performing turning of WinForms application using Redgate ANTS Memory and Performance Profiler;
  • Instructing, directing and monitoring development deliverables and reviewing the work of other application developers;
  • Developing of charts for large-sized projects and designing complex reporting solutions with OpenXML;
  • Participating in requirements gathering with the Product Planning Team and capturing these business requirements into structural UML diagrams, including activity, use case, sequence, class and component diagrams;
  • Providing recommendations for application development component and data architecture design, integration and configuration management, performance monitoring, frameworks and quality assurance review;
