Work you'll do

As a Specialist Leader within our Service Operations team, you will:

  • Design and optimize business processes in support of overall business operations and technology enablement, utilization and adoption
  • Organize and delivers services on a cross-section of complex projects
  • Contribute to the development and cultivation of business and vendor relationships
  • As a technical or functional advisor, work extensively with the management of the project to guide efforts that address the client's needs
  • Measure and articulate to key stakeholders the value of organizational activities, programs, and investments by providing actionable methodologies to measure, govern and evaluate performance
  • Serve as a "Subject Matter Expert", adding interpretive value to data presented or experienced insight into a functional process or issue
  • Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
  • Identify opportunities for other Deloitte service offerings that can address client needs
  • Responsible for managing solutions, delegating resources, and helping to ensure quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables
  • Provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff
  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process
  • Contribute to business development initiatives to grow our practice
  • Manage resources on client projects
  • Deloitte is seeking high performing candidates to pursue strategic relationships with Federal government clients in the designated geography
  • In this role, candidates will focus on leveraging his/her extensive network and US Intelligence Community connections to assist local teams in understanding the agency's landscape and driving business growth
  • Candidates will leverage strategic relationships to connect local teams with business development opportunities
  • The professional serves as the resident expert in providing insight to critical client challenges, issues, and political landscapes at the client
  • This person should be able to bridge the connection between Deloitte colleagues and the client, provide a platform for discussion, and act as an expert in the eyes of current and potential clients at the appropriate agency
  • Leverages macro-level understanding of US Intelligence Community agencies operating in Colorado and acts as an advisor to local delivery teams for relevant client issues
  • Serves as the resident expert for issues relating to US Intelligence Community agencies operating in Colorado, providing organizational context to local Deloitte teams and targeted solution
  • Establishes executive relationships and is perceived by the client as part of the leadership team
  • Translates US Intelligence Community expertise into focus areas for firm investments in the Colorado market
  • Provides unique access to key leaders on critical topics relevant to US Intelligence Community Agencies operating in Colorado
  • Provides advice and expertise on new pursuits and proposal responses respective to the US Intelligence Community

Our Service Operations team provides expertise to Federal clients facing budgetary constraints by helping them define, implement, and sustain workable improvements within their environment. Our Service Operations professionals bring strong domain knowledge, and expertise in project management, business process re-engineering, performance management, and operations management to help our clients meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving business landscape.



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or other business-related field
  • 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience and relevant experience within the US Intelligence Community with a range of roles held during that time
  • 3+ years in a technical or functional lead role
  • Experience mentoring and coaching others
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience
  • Candidates must have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, industry experience, and relationships, preferably within the US Intelligence Community and specific to Colorado
  • In-depth understanding of US Intelligence Community challenges and issues specific to the operations environment, and impact to local market
  • Deep connections throughout targeted US Intelligence Community agencies across all levels of the organization for those agencies operating in Colorado


  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree
  • Primary location will be Colorado. Regional travel will vary depending on client location and needs-based travel to the Greater Washington Area
