Industry Operations Manager - Technology, Media & Telecom Industry (TMT)

Deloitte Services is looking for an Industry Operations Manager to support the TMT National Industry Leader, Industry Council, and Chief of Staffs.

Work you'll do

  • Works with NIL, TMT Industry Council, NSLs, and Chief of Staff to define and manage the industry's OCEO and Strategic client portfolios
  • Manages client portfolio selection/client centricity process and ensures feedback from the NIL and NSLs are incorporated into firm systems and that industry leadership is satisfied with client classification process
  • Works with NIL, TMT Industry Council, NSLs, Functional Sector Leaders (FSLs), and Chief of Staff to identify and exploit cross-industry and cross-sector opportunities
  • Works with NIL, TMT Industry Council, NSLs, Chief of Staff, and TMT Learning Lead to coordinate the development of Industry learning content and appropriate learning programs to support the Industry Talent Development


  • Supports the onsite delivery of national and regional industry learning programs
  • Supports the planning and delivery of regular, topical practice-wide calls and events to promote knowledge sharing
  • Understands and communicates a clear, up to date picture of TMT Industry performance to ensure appropriate management actions are taken by the Leadership team
  • Tracks industry revenue performance against plan, reviews analyses of revenue performance, and distributes reports to TMT leadership
  • Prepares daily report of pipeline information and distributes to TMT leadership
  • Assists NIL, TMT Industry Council, NSLs, and Chief of Staff in creating and executing national industry strategy
  • Assists in the preparation and follow up for TMT leadership planning meetings
  • Reviews, analyzes, and summarizes operations expenses
  • Supports TMT community building events to increase communication, knowledge sharing, and revenue opportunities among practitioners
  • Responds to requests/questions from leadership and practitioners
  • Works with Chief of Staff to identify, manage, and resolve issues
  • Works with Industry leadership to manage client, revenue, and operational planning process, including resource allocations for OCEO and Strategic accounts
  • Supports Chief of Staff in providing administrative leverage to NSLs and Sector Specialists
  • Provides regular and ad hoc reporting to Global TMT and U.S. Clients, Industries & Eminence including eminence, wins, leadership changes, major events and developments, revenue results, revenue trends and projections, NIL and NSL client visits
  • Works with Knowledge Management, U.S. research center, and Marketing to identify and distribute relevant industry content in a clear and concise manner
  • Coordinates various operations, marketing, and finance initiatives within the practice
  • Liaises with other Industry Operations Managers to share best practices


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated success performing in a large matrixed organization
  • Client service experience and/or industry experience a plus
  • Experience in process development and implementation
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – strong PowerPoint and Excel skills critical
  • Experience creating financial reports in SAP HANA
  • Project management experience and ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to be creative and innovative in taking concepts and creating presentations/business cases
  • Detail oriented, ability to adapt to changing environment
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and organized
