Industrial Organizational Psychologist

The Industrial/Organizational Practitioner will design, validate, and evaluate assessments for selection purposes. The practitioner will conduct literature reviews, perform validity transportability studies, and build and validate custom assessments. Practitioner will play an integral role within our fast-paced interdisciplinary team to deliver projects with exceptional creativity and technical knowledge, and a natural desire to keep current on the latest trends in selection assessment. Applicant must have excellent client facing skills as they will be interacting with clients regularly and should show the ability to learn about client needs, agency strategy, and challenges.

  • Perform project tasks independently, and may direct the efforts of others
  • Participate in and/or lead the development of deliverable content that meets the needs of the client and contract
  • Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues
  • Review deliverables for accuracy and quality
  • Provides coaching to junior staff
  • Contributes to new business proposals and proposal development
  • Manages own personal and professional development; seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, human resources, communications, industrial and organizational development/psychology or a related discipline
  • Masters Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Experience with researching, designing, and evaluating assessments for selection purposes
  • Experience in areas such as pre-hire assessments, job analysis techniques, competency modeling
  • Project management, self-management and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience working with federal government agencies a plus
  • Experience working with a crowdsourcing Internet marketplace to test assessment measures, (e.g., Mechanical Turk) a plus
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Preferred:
  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
