Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives. From strategy to execution, this team delivers integrated, end-to-end support and advisory services covering valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability. We reimagine the technology + business relationship by architecting future business and technology strategies, operating models, platforms, ecosystems, and capabilities into integrated business solutions. Work you'll do

You will develop technology strategies to increase a company's profitability, catalyze growth, and ultimately deliver value across the stakeholder set. You will determine the platforms to adopt, the architectures to build, the ways of working to change, and the capabilities improvements required to operate at efficient scale. As a trusted advisor, you will be expected to craft quality deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships - whether on a small engagement or as part of a larger transformation. When not serving clients, Senior Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.

A Senior Manager at Deloitte will manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology solutions to solve our client's most complex business challenges.

A Senior Manager at Deloitte is expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:

  • Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk.
  • Client Management: Manage day-to-day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate in and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies.
  • Practice Development & Eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thoughtware" and "point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals.
  • People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 8+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience managing large technology engagements (min. of 2 full life cycle implementations).
  • 2+ years' experience overseeing AI/data projects end-to-end, including planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting.
  • At least 6 years of experience in the financial services sector.
  • Experience, either functioning as a Senior Manager in a Consulting environment or managing teams in an Operating environment. In either scenario, experience focused on the intersection of Technology and Strategy to include Corporate & Business Unit Tech Strategy, Business Transformation and AI strategy implementation.
  • Experience working with senior executives crafting and implementing strategies for technology improvement to articulate leading business issues and trends, including the associated technology implications within one or more industries.
  • Strong program management skills with experience managing and delivering complex and critical programs.
  • Exhibit a passion for technology and have a thirst to continually learn and keep pace with the accelerating change across multiple technologies and solutions.
  • A bachelor's degree with focus on Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Live within commuting distance to one of Deloitte's consulting offices.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint).
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Eagerness to mentor junior staff.
  • An advanced degree in the area of specialization (MBA Preferred).

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $175,300 to $322,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
