Work you'll do

  • The Network Sensor Engineer is responsible for installation, operations, testing, and maintenance of systems. R-Scope network sensors installed. Each sensor runs the Bro Network Security Monitor.
  • Multitask and switch gears to meet changing priorities and tasks to accomplish goals/objectives.
  • Work in a distributed team environment where team members are spread across numerous locations and often communicate virtually.
  • Support a flexible work schedule (to include nights and weekends on occasion).

Our centers house a multitude of specialists, ranging from systems designers, architects and integrators, to creative digital experts, to cyber risk and human capital professionals. All work together on diverse projects from advanced preconfigured solutions and methodologies, to brand-building and campaign management. Qualifications

Required
  • Configure Reservoir Labs R-Scope and Bro to optimally collect and process network logs
  • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of R-Scope and Bro software
  • Monitor health and performance of 14 R-Scope network sensors and track system behaviors
  • Troubleshoot root causes of abnormal sensor, R-Scope, and Bro behaviors, and lead technical efforts during periods of escalation
  • Act as the technical interface to Reservoir Labs for support tickets and other vender interactions
  • Perform physical installation and maintenance, as needed, on deployed sensors at multiple locations
  • Monitor and assume responsibility as POC for the site-to-site VPN
  • Coordinate with Deloitte FTC and Managed Service Environment engineers to ensure sensor log files are consistently collected
  • Develop and maintain primary technical documentation on all aspects of network sensor management, and assist other groups to develop technical documentation in support of other efforts, e.g. Sensor ATO support
  • Provide status updates on sensor health, including regular metrics and statistics tracked over time
  • Develop and maintain a change management process (including technology solution) for managing 14 R-Scope network sensors deployed
  • Perform configuration changes on R-Scope sensors to handle new use cases (i.e. enable new analyzers, etc.)
  • Develop and implement test plans and processes for testing new R-Scope builds
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.




Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Linux
  • Network performance testing
  • Experience with network security monitoring systems, e.g. Bro, Suricata, IDSs
  • JIRA



Additional US Delivery Center Requirements:
  • Must be willing to live and work in the Orlando, FL or Mechanicsburg, PA
