Federal IT Controls Consultant

Work you'll do

  • Work with Federal clients to mitigate cyber risk and threats
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Assist in proposal development, as requested
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients
  • Identify and document system architecture and retain documentation in a centralized repository
  • Document and test computer-based controls in automated processes and review systems that support key financial operations
  • Leverage A-123 reviews for other compliance efforts such as FISMA, the annual financial statement audit, and Certification & Accreditation
  • Develop and institute effective and efficient corrective actions to mitigate internal control deficiencies
  • Support the development of enterprise-wide IT Controls policy and baseline

The Team

From our centers, we work with Deloitte consultants to design, develop and build solutions to help clients reimagine, reshape and rewire the competitive fabric of entire industries. Our centers house a multitude of specialists, ranging from systems designers, architects and integrators, to creative digital experts, to cyber risk and human capital professionals. All work together on diverse projects from advanced preconfigured solutions and methodologies, to brand-building and campaign management. The US Delivery Center supports a collaborative team culture where we work and live close to home with limited travel.

Our Federal Cyber Risk team is client focused and mission driven. Our team works across industries and sectors to respond more rapidly and effectively, providing recommendations to improve cyber threat detection.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 1+ year(s) of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • P roven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
  • Ability to utilize consistent set of tools and processes to receive, log, and track incidents and service requests to resolution through a tiered support structure
  • Ability to support project-level activity to ensure overall IT program goals are met while managing cross-project dependencies and mitigating issues and risks
  • Ability to support system rationalization efforts to support an organization's targeted IT environment
  • Understanding of FISCAM, DIACAP, RMF, and NIST regulations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role


Preferred:
  • Previous Federal Consulting experience
  • Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts
  • Experience with Information Assurance concepts and processes within the Federal government
  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP
