Discovery Intern - Summer 2017 - Marquette University

If you’re looking to gainfirst-hand exposure to the professional services industry, learn new businessskills and deepen your knowledge of your field of interest, Deloitte’sDiscovery Internship Program may be a great fit for you. During this eight-week long rotational experience,you’ll have the opportunity to foster business relationships with Deloitte professionalsand acquire the critical and soft skills needed to succeed in the modernworkplace and global marketplace.

Work You’ll Do

As a Discovery Program intern,you’ll gain business experience through hands-on learning and projects byrotating through two practices within Deloitte. During the internship, you’ll alsobuild foundational knowledge, learn to articulate your ideas clearly, and developstrong relationships through training, mentorship, and ongoing feedback.

Our Discovery Program’s immersive workshops and networking opportunitiesprovide a view into the technical skills, critical professional behaviors,standards, and mindsets needed to succeed as a business professional. Guided bycoaches and mentors who can help you to learn more about Deloitte and youropportunities, you’ll gain real-world experience working on meaningfulprojects. Beyond this exposure to “real life” projects, the program alsodelivers a variety of national and local learning and networking events. Our regularly scheduled learning and networking opportunities are designed tohelp you develop technical and leadership skills and assist in building yourprofessional network. Qualifications

  • Pursing a Bachelor degree in a business,accounting, technology or related field (sophomore or junior standing)
  • Strongacademic credentials (minimum GPA of 3.3)
  • Demonstratedproblem solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communicationskills; adaptive to change, creativity & self-confidence; leadershipqualities; team-oriented and collaborative

During the internship program,you’ll meet and work with many talented Deloitte professionals whom work invarious areas of our client service business including Audit, Advisory and Tax.
