Working within our Reward team, your role will be varied and challenging. You will be involved in designing and implementing share plans and other remuneration structures, reviewing existing plans, and supporting clients in meeting their regulatory and compliance obligations. We are a true advisory practice, and aim to work in partnership with our clients to deliver high quality, high impact advice.
Our team supports a broad client portfolio across a range of industries, from very large corporations through to smaller fast-growing businesses – both quoted and private companies. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering projects to clients, and managing these vital relationships.
Our Consultants take the lead on delivering key parts of our client services. As a Consultant you will use your commercial awareness and professional expertise, along with leveraging the skills and expertise of others, to deliver the best possible experience and outcomes for our clients. You might own or manage key elements of a client relationship and, with an appropriate level of support, will be expected to proactively identify innovative solutions for your clients and pursue new business development opportunities by utilising your networks and market knowledge. Our Consultants are also either people managers or act as coaches and role models to the Analysts in their team. You will be a confident team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as continuing to build your own technical expertise or specialism.
The Consultant role will include the following activities:
- Advising on remuneration design for senior executives in both a listed and private environment (including use of tax advantaged arrangements, where appropriate);
- Designing and/or reviewing UK and global share schemes for executives and employees and advising on the tax impact of plans;
- Implementing equity plans for clients, from designing the plan, to drafting plan rules and advising on the practical operation of the arrangements;
- Advising on broader remuneration structuring – such as bonus arrangements and pension alternatives;
- Managing high-profile and complex client accounts and relationships; and
- Identifying and delivering fee opportunities from clients and targets.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Share plans and/or executive remuneration experience either in the professional services environment or in industry;
- Understanding of relevant tax legislation in this field;
- Willingness to learn and deal with new ideas and technical areas;
- Commercial awareness;
- Able to produce high quality, client facing, technically accurate, well written work; and
- Pro-active and able to take ownership of delivering projects to clients.
Ideally one of the following qualifications:
- ACCA/ACA/ATII/ATT or equivalent legal background
