Role description

Associate Directors own a portfolio of clients and are seen as the expert in their field. They lead and steer client services and the delivery of innovative solutions by bringing together multi-disciplinary teams to tackle some of our most complex client challenges. As an Associate Director, you will develop long term relationships with your clients, actively contribute to the eminence of our practice by external knowledge sharing and investing time in business development, and have a focus on the stewardship of our people and the practice. You will be a role model to others and actively create an inclusive environment of team working where team members feel supported in their personal and professional development. You will also be supported in deepening your own technical specialism, widening your cross service line and industry or market knowledge, and continuing to develop your stewardship skills.

The opportunity

Contribute to the delivery of innovative transfer pricing solutions to a client base of Energy and Resource groups. The Team has seen a number of big successes in the market alongside continued wins from longstanding clients and we are now seeking an experienced transfer pricing senior manager (or high performing manager) to join this already impressive team.

Many of our transfer pricing team are both economists and tax professionals and working with these individuals will ensure you gain the best experience and training that Transfer Pricing can offer. We provide expert advice on all aspects of transfer pricing including documentation, defence, strategy and thin capitalisation. You will be given all the support and guidance required to ensure that you are a success.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in the development of transfer pricing design, compliance and audit defence strategies
  • Drafting transfer pricing reports including economic and financial analyses to support the client's position with the HMRC
  • Managing more junior staff in client service teams
  • Supporting the Transfer Pricing Practice through the development of new services and analytical tools
  • To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills and proven experience in dealing with transfer pricing issues,
  • Strong, client driven commercial awareness
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills
  • Experience in the energy and resources industry is a plus but not essential if you have a strong interest in the industry
  • Qualifications: Relevant tax qualification (ie CTA), or degree in Economics is required.
