Data Breach Management Services Analyst

Work you'll do

As a Project Delivery Analyst in the Forensics and Investigations group you will:

  • Support Implementation and Operations Management best practices
  • Lead and support tasks and portions of the project scope on engagements related but not limited to Operations & Maintenance, Helpdesk Operations, Software and Application Development and Maintenance, Financial Operations, and Project and Acquisition Management
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of client issues
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the client environment and overall project scope
  • Identify and solve problems using analysis, experience, and judgment
  • Independently perform tasks with some guidance to execute a portion of the project scope
  • Support the resolution and documentation of privacy incidents (i.e., data breaches). These activities consist of:

Receiving and tracking reports of privacy incidents involving the actual or potential loss or breach of personally identifiable information (PII).

  • Collecting and recording factual incident data to include interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, and arranging for examination of evidence.

Recommending resolution of incidents to the Privacy Division Incident Lead.

Coordinating with offices and personnel who report and/or are affected by the breach.

  • Gathering pertinent information necessary to identify the nature of the breach, the cause, and what remedial actions are possible.

Coordinating and assisting with the resolution of the incident with other offices and the Privacy Office, including any remediation required, for Privacy Officer's final review and approval.

  • Coordinating with program offices and vendors to arrange for the provision of victim remediation services.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Typically has 1 or more years of consulting and/or industry experience
  • Ability to work independently under general guidance
  • Experience working in teams and in a team environment that is process-oriented and deadline-driven
  • Professional oral and written communication skills
  • Relevant software or application skills to complete job successfully
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
  • At least three (3) years of experience managing data breaches involving personally identifiable information (PII) in the governmental or non-governmental sector, including risk analysis, investigation and fact gathering, and remediation, including the provision of victim notification and procurement of credit monitoring.
  • Demonstrative experience in the ability to write and analyze complex legal or non-legal documents.

Preferred:

  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
