Cyber Security Infrastructure Engineer

Work you'll do

As a Specialist Master within our Cyber Risk team, you will:

  • Work with Federal clients to mitigate cyber risk and threats
  • Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of projects
  • Maintain technical knowledge within industry and service line and leverage deep subject matter knowledge on engagements
  • Contribute to the development and cultivation of business and vendor relationships
  • Serve as a "Subject Matter Expert", adding interpretive value to data presented or experienced insight into a functional process or issue
  • Display business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
  • Identify opportunities for other Deloitte service offerings that can address client needs
  • Responsible for managing solutions, delegating resources, and helping to ensure quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables
  • Supervise the work of team members and supports delivery teams and staff
  • Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process
  • Provide a wide range of technology and cybersecurity support to include the development and maturation of IT and cybersecurity practices; design and implementation of technology solutions; certification and accreditation of systems and platforms; and well as guidance and advisement on the employment of IT service management for network operations.
  • Work directly with staff as well as stakeholders and elicit requirements, document, design, test and implement a DoD compliant, physical and virtual platforms
  • Design, develop and implement a multi-host virtualization platform
  • Configure and maintain platform hardware components
  • Develop and maintain DoD compliant baseline operating system images, develop tools and techniques for managing the infrastructure, provide infrastructure artifacts to support certification and accreditation efforts, provide subject matter expertise in the areas of physical and virtual computing platforms

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • 2+ years in a technical or functional lead role
  • Experience mentoring and coaching others
  • Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Experience managing senior-level client relationships
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
  • Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance for this role
  • Red Hat Software; Server Virtualization; Storage Virtualization; Storage - SAN; Storage - NAS
  • 5-7 years experience in designing, implementing and managing server and application platforms
  • Hand-on experience in configuring secure operating systems and services
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing networked operating system services (DNS, Kerberos, file sharing, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and managing host-based security platforms
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and managing virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware, Citrix, KVM), experience in developing design and implementation documentation
  • Experience in communicating technical challenges effectively to senior-level government staff
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting of computer networks
  • Experience in configuring and managing security infrastructure Optimizing networks and applications for performance

Preferred:

  • Previous Federal Consulting experience
  • Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts
  • Experience with Information Assurance concepts and processes within the Federal government
  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level III IA Baseline Certification
