Consulting Finance Management Reporting - Consultant / Senior Consultant

Location: Open within the continental United States, with a strong preference for the West Coast.

We are looking for a strong Consultant or Senior Consultant to join Deloitte Consulting's Management Reporting team. This is a virtual position that can be performed from a home office or Deloitte office and requires minimal travel (0-10%).

Work You'll Do:

The selected individual will be responsible for defining and delivering reporting and analysis to support Deloitte Consulting's leadership decision-making.

Given the matrix structure of Deloitte Consulting, challenging operational and competitive landscape, and the rapid pace of evolution of our business, it is critical to provide actionable insights to our leaders in a timely manner.

This position will work with key leaders across the Deloitte Consulting practice, as well as other support areas.

The Management Reporting Team:

The Consulting Finance Management Reporting Team is responsible for managing the development of all bi-weekly, period-end, quarter-end, year-end, and ad-hoc presentations, communications and reports for Deloitte's Consulting practice. The materials the team develops focus on telling the story of Consulting's financial and operational results and the drivers of those results. This includes, but is not limited to, Executive Committee presentations, Management Committee Business Performance Reviews, preparation for Consulting Board meetings, and US Executive Committee presentations.

The team is also responsible for ensuring all financial communications to the practice through internal communication vehicles are accurate and timely.

The team addresses short-term and long-term projects focused on operational analysis and improvement initiatives. This could include improving the operational processes or report design, developing improved means to monitor and measure performance, and improving key operational processes. Many analyses will require viewing our business in a new and different way.


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years in a professional services environment preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Prior FP&A experience a plus
  • Ability to diagnose operational and financial drivers of performance results
  • Ability to see the 'big picture' and apply a strategic perspective
  • Strong slide design and storyboarding skills for 'telling stories with data'
  • Ability to structure work and analyses and develop executive-ready deliverables
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to implement change
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment
  • Ability to work well on a virtual team
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills and executive presence
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Proficiency with SAP financial systems and Tableau (optional but preferred)
