Business Process Outsourcing - Senior Consultant - Strategy & Operations
Business process outsourcing (BPO) advisory services assists clients in defining and implementing outsourcing and offshoring strategies for select back office processes, including finance and accounting, and procurement. We bring deep process knowledge and insight into areas that are suitable for outsourcing and those that may better be retained, and assist our clients in developing robust, forward looking strategies for global delivery at optimal cost. Our BPO team supports clients in implementing their selected strategies, including driving the process to select a vendor, negotiate a contract, and transition to a new operating model. Our clients are major multi-national corporations across industry sectors, with a footprint covering the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Work you'll do
You, along with dynamic colleagues, will help organizations create a single enterprise organization or network of shared services and/or outsourcing relationships. Senior Consultants will synthesize overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions, selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet the specific client requirements such as business case, pricing, or complex financial analysis, and interpreting and reporting on outputs. You will participate in setting engagement objectives and scope; develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope. Senior Consultants will also design deliverable content that will precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs and strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results.
- Experience advising on business process outsourcing strategy and transformation
- Practical experience with the full lifecycle of business process outsourcing transactions
- Experience conducting core vs. non-core assessments
- Ability to analyze and apply outsourcing trends
- Understanding of vendor landscape
- Business case development experience
- A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years consulting and/or industry experience is required; alternatively an MBA with 3+ years relevant work experience will be considered.
- Ability to interact at all levels of the client organization
- A willingness to travel 80-100%
- An MBA or advanced degree is preferred
- Experience and understanding with robotic process automation, including vendors such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, etc.
- Familiarity with information technologies and platforms: such as legacy ERP, cloud software services, and customer service applications
- Experience with analytics to evaluate and optimize business processes
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and effective management presence
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to exercise mature judgment
- Eagerness to mentor and counsel junior staff
