Work You'll Do

Advisory Specialist Master (Vigilant) to play lead role in engagement planning, economics, and billing and participate in proposal development efforts. Demonstrate a general knowledge of market trends and competitor activities and assist in retention of professionals. Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, internal controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for internal control improvement. Assist in the selection and tailoring of approaches, methods, and tools to support service offerings or industry projects. Use technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design, and/or implement products and services. Construct and assess high-level and detailed security programs translating business needs and regulatory requirements into cost effective and risk appropriate controls. Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability. Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches. Develop information security strategies and plans based upon generally accepted security standards. Utilize knowledge of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, business and information technology management processes, and market trends on client engagements. Build and nurture strong client relationships.



  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science, information systems, information technology, mathematics, decision sciences, risk management, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Five years of experience in security information systems implementation.
  • Experience must include five years of:
  • Developing scripts in programming language including Java, JSON, batch scripting, Python;
  • Architecting and onboarding technology elements;
  • Enterprise-level distributed search environments multiple components of Splunk;
  • Identifying and parsing data streams of structured and unstructured data using tools including CSC, JSON, XML, and Python SDK;
  • Interacting with senior management on project progress, reviews of deliverables and other project assessments;
  • Applying user behavior analytics to develop and improve user applications' content and systems applications that are client-facing;
  • Remediating security vulnerabilities to improve the security postures of clients' information systems to comply with security standards; and
  • Using Splunk SDK to build custom apps for Enterprise Splunk environment.
  • In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Master's degree and three years of experience as stated above.
  • Experience must include two years of:
  • Integrating Splunk with different monitoring tools including BMC, Nagios, Solarwinds or TMart.
  • Position requires approximately 85% travel.
