Work You'll Do

Research and perform technical accounting with a focus in ASC 605/606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 815 (Derivatives and Hedging). Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches. Compile and analyze data. Identify and generate ideas for client issues. Perform technical accounting analysis on client issues and propose recommended approach. Build data models on Excel. Demonstrate general knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, products, and service lines. Participate in decision making with engagement management and seek to understand broader impact of current decisions. Build and nurture strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Two years of auditing experience in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry.
  • Experience must include two years of:
  • Performing audits of financial statements under US GAAP, US GAAS, and PCAOB requirements, in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) industry;
  • Performing technical accounting research, including new accounting standards and applying it to analyzing client business;
  • Researching accounting standards in audits and/or business environment;
  • Auditing financial statement balances and disclosures pursuant to FASB Accounting Standards Codification requirements;
  • Researching SEC regulations for public companies; and
  • Utilizing Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word to analyze data and create deliverables.
  • Position requires approximately 80% travel.
