What you'll achieve

As a Vulnerability Management and Remediation Consultant in Mexico orPanama, you will be responsible for leading and driving vulnerability remediation across Dell applications, working with IT engineering, infrastructure, and application development teams and in close collaboration with the Security Assurance, Secure Development Lifecycle and Products and Application Security teams.

You will:

  • Lead and drive remediation efforts with business units and various areas of IT to increase the efficiency of Dell's vulnerability management processes and Analyze application vulnerabilities, determine cause and impact and identify the corrective action needed to eliminate and prevent the event from happening in the future.
  • Exhibit good understanding of vulnerability validation, re-production, remedy advice and vulnerability research skills and to Provide comprehensive technical guidance and remedy advice to internal stakeholders when required.
  • Define and report program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics and Articulate risk and impact to internal stakeholders with the proven ability to convey the urgency and need to remediate a vulnerability commensurate with the risk it presents to Dell and Dell IT.
  • Work with Management as required to facilitate resolution to challenging business problems/objectives in a secure way. Cultivate, develop and manage strong, lasting customer relationships at senior management level.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan, prioritize and accomplish goals while performing a variety of tasks.

    • Complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Establish and achieves realistic goals.
    • Oversee all aspects of the remediation activities to ensure quality.
    • Initiate any quality improvement that may be necessary to the current program and processes

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience, specifically in Engineering/IT Operations, Security Operations, Application Lifecycle Management, Secure Development, Application Security, Penetration Test and/or Incident Response and/ or Minimum of 2 years of experience in business process management, program management and/ or executive communication.
  • Hands on experience with Vulnerability Scanning & Management tools (Nexpose, Tenable, Appscan, Prisma Cloud, Kenna Security).
  • Experience with Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure (CVD), Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS), MITRE Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) systems, and OWASP Top 10.
  • Hands on experience with web security testing tools (Burp Suite, nmap, SSL scan) and leading and driving vulnerability management activities.
  • Ability to drive complex, cross-organizational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing priorities.

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor's / master's degree in computer science, MIS, Cybersecurity or a related field of study.
  • CISSP, CRISC, CISM or similar certifications advantageous.
  • Good understanding of application vulnerabilities and vulnerability research skills and escalations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues as well verbal and written communication, time management and organization skills.
  • Collaborative / Team Player, Self-driven independent and customer-oriented
