The opportunity:

As Engineering Team Lead for the Security Agent team, you’ll manage a new team of talented engineers who will provide our customers new ways to detect threats - or even prevent them from happening - on their infrastructure. You will work with product managers to decide which security challenges to tackle first, and work with a community of open-source developers as they contribute to our ecosystem.

You will:

  • Manage the engineers on the team, developing their skills and helping advance their careers
  • Ensure the team consistently ships high quality code and architecture
  • Write a significant amount of code, design and write features that help customers detect and react to security threats on their infrastructure
  • Participate and contribute to upstream open-source communities

 

Requirements:

  • You have managed a team of software engineers
  • You have significant systems programming experience in one or more languages
  • You have mastered Linux, from the system to the libs to the common apps
  • You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience

 

Bonus points:

  • You've shipped complex projects with teams of engineers
  • You have designed and shipped security products
  • You are a master at C or Go
  • You have used and developed tools using eBPF
