Production Controller


Located at our Brampton Head Office, this position will understand Client requirements, and provide direction on how to best meet those needs through internally manufactured product and outsourced procurement. The Production Controller will have a good understanding of production processes related to Gift Card and Print-on-Demand products and services, and will coordinate projects from inception through to billing. This position will report to the Production Control Manager.

Key Responsibilities: Evaluate Client requirements and determine most cost-effective solutions to meet Client quality and delivery expectations.

Provide timely responses to pricing inquiries.

Create accurate production specifications for all manufacturing operations required to successfully delivery on the project.

Initiate team meetings or consult with SMEs to share deliverables and build work instructions and specifications as required when dealing with larger or complex projects.

Track and capture all costs for each project to ensure accurate billing and Client reporting.

Coordinate production scheduling and planning by communicating requirements to the Scheduling Department, subcontractors, and trade partners.

Maintain visibility on all projects to ensure timely delivery, and communicate any concerns to production or trade partners that may affect meeting Client expectations.

Retrieve and process estimates and orders through a web based tools as required.

Process requisitions and purchase orders for consumables, materials, subcontractors and trade partners.

Complete billing per Client requirements as projects are concluded.

Investigate Excess Costs (E/Cs) and Re-Solution Requests (RSRs) providing Root Cause Analysis with input on corrective action.

Requirements: Completion of post-secondary College and/or University education

Minimum of 3 years print production coordination

Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills

Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
