Linux Kernel - Summer 2017 Intern

Responsibilities

  • Low level / embedded programming
  • Linux Kernel driver development
  • Help with board bring-up and programming and debugging microcontroller-based systems
  • Digital signal processing experience
  • Debug firmware using an oscilloscope and other bench equipment

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, CS, Math or related field
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Strong math background
  • Outstanding problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong organizational, project management, detail oriented, analytical and quantitative skills
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to effectively operate independently, across functional lines, and with both internal and external customers
  • Embedded programming experience
  • Experience in Linux Kernel driver development and deeply familiar with various Linux based shell scripting languages
  • Experience in peripheral buses
  • Experience in wireless communication protocols like BTLE, WiFi, etc.
  • Experience with board bring-up and programming and debugging microcontroller-based systems
  • Ability to debug firmware using an oscilloscope and other bench equipment
  • Working knowledge of software development tools (compilers, debuggers, emulators, etc)
