Information Security Intern - Summer 2017

To complement our world-class technical teams, we are seeking an awesome, customer service oriented Information Security Intern.  You will be performing research and helping to plan, test and implement security controls throughout the organization. This position reports to the Director of Information Security and will receive general supervision, but will be expected to be able to exercise independent judgment and decision making.

  • Security events and log review and analysis
  • Research of latest information security technologies
  • Update and collect information inventory
  • Update and collect hardware inventory
  • Create information security how-to documentation for users
  • Create and perform proof-of-concepts on key security technology platforms (next gen firewalls, antivirus and endpoint protection, universal 2-factor (U2F)/FIDO tokens, biometrics


  • 2 years of experience
  • Currently pursing BS Degree
  • Experience supporting PC (Windows 7, 8, 10) and Mac (OS X 10.10-10.12) platforms
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking stack
  • Basic understanding of the OSI modelBasic understanding of encryption technologies (PKI, whole-disk)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, REHL/CentOS)
  • Experience with SELinux/AppArmor
  • Experience with languages (PHP, node, Ruby)
  • Experience with cryptographic protocols and functions (bcrypt, PBKDF2, Argon2)
