The Industry Director reports to the Sr. Director Industry Solutions and is responsible for providing industry expertise in one or more industries and experienced in an industry segment’s requirements. The Industry Director supports Territory Sales Directors, Account Managers, Estimating, and FAE’s in pursuit of product and service sales goals. The Industry Director is a team player that provides creative technical analysis of customer needs as it applies DAQRI product(s). An Industry Director is considered a subject matter expert in his or her industry(s). In addition, this person develops approaches to resolve and meet customer’s expectations and deliverables, positions DAQRI product(s) as best-in- class among competitors, and builds demos that are rolled out across the corporation. This position shall be able to develop pricing strategies to help the Account Managers and Estimating in the generation of proposals. The nature of the position requires an individual experienced in DAQRI products and knowledge of DAQRI’s organization.
Primary responsibilities include:
Work with the Industry Solutions organization to create solutions that meet requirements of customers in their perspective industry.
Working with Product Consults/FAE’s, Account Managers, to define sale strategies within their industry
Determine viability of opportunities
Work with Sales to determine project and product requirements
Collecting and analyzing pertinent data for their industry
Work with Product Development Determine appropriate technology solutions
Develop plans and standard demos product solutions including demo scripts
Maintain their skill-sets with by attending seminars, industry events, etc.
Know their industry: purchasing and estimating knowledge and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into layman terms
Know their customer: relationship building and good communication skills including effective presentation skills
Know their competition: always stay one step ahead of the competition by understanding the opportunities they offer
Support DAQRI’s and Industry Solutions Organization’s Mission, Vision, Goals
The Industry Director plays a critical role in sales pursuits and must possess good communication skills and an effective demeanor in working with people in a team and goal oriented environment. The skill-set of this person will include being an expert in their industry(s) and practical knowledge of an DAQRI products with expertise in as many as possible.
