Job Description
Working hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm with a possible rotating late shift from 11am-7:30pm. The late shift will be about 1 night every 3 weeks.
Weekends are voluntary 8am-4:30pm
Holidays may be on call as needed.
No travel will be required.

The UM Nurse Consultant utilizes clinical skills in a collaborative process to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options and services to facilitate appropriate inpatient healthcare management and effective discharge planning to improve the outcomes for members. Utilizes clinical experience and skills in a collaborative process to assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor and evaluate options to facilitate appropriate healthcare services/benefits for members • Gathers clinical information and applies the appropriate clinical criteria/guideline, policy, procedure and clinical judgment to render coverage determination/recommendation along the continuum of care • Communicates with providers and other parties to facilitate care/treatment • Identifies members for referral opportunities to integrate with other products, services and/or programs • Identifies opportunities to promote quality effectiveness of Healthcare Services and benefit utilization • Consults and lends expertise to other internal and external constituents in the coordination and administration of the utilization/benefit management function.
This role is located in the Bethlehem, PA office working as part of a team for the new Site of Service Team.

Required Qualifications
3+ years of clinical experience required
RN with current unrestricted state licensure required.

COVID Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
Utilization Review experience preferred
Experience with all types of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Education
Associates/Diploma in nursing required
Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
