This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical documentation and product ownership. You will spend 50% of your time crafting clear, concise, and developer-friendly API documentation for our Developer Portal, and the other 50% acting as a Product Owner for our API team-driving product strategy, managing backlogs, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality API experiences.Key Responsibilities:

API Documentation (50%)
- Write, edit, and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including reference guides, tutorials, and integration examples.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and UX designers to understand technical requirements and translate them into user-friendly content.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the latest API releases.
- Own the structure and usability of the Developer Portal, continuously improving the developer experience.
- Create content standards and style guides for API documentation.
- Serve as the Product Owner for the API team, managing the product backlog and prioritizing features based on business and developer needs.
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap for internal and external APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, marketing, and customer support.
- Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders and users to inform product decisions.
- Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
- 2+ years of experience in a product owner or product management role.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth, and developer workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Markdown, and static site generators.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably with a focus on APIs or developer tools.
- Background in software development or computer science.
- Experience working with API gateways, SDKs, or API management platforms.
- Knowledge of analytics tools to measure documentation usage and effectiveness.

The typical pay range for this role is:$101,970.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.Our people fuel our future.
