Sr Financial Category Analyst, Business Strategy - Hawaii Based

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr Financial Category Analyst is responsible for the Hawaii merchandising P&L budgeting, regular distribution of key metric reporting and ensuring key category strategies are supported and executed accurately and effectively. Supports the management of all front store merchandising vendor funding (SAF) activities and analysis, as well as provides analytical support for all lines on the category P&L and other category related financial impacts.

Core duties include:

Vendor Funding Management:
- Responsible for maintaining and executing Hawaii billbacks, coupons, and PFA agreements.
- Partners with Corporate Funding team to ensure Scanbacks, COOPs, and ExtraBucks are accurately billed.

- Manages Deferred Account inflows, billing cadences, and distribution to market general ledgers.
- Provide data-driven recommendations on vendor funding strategy to maximize spend ROI and ensure fair market share.

Business Analytics & P&L Management:
- Responsible for developing Hawaii Category P&L budgets at sales and margin levels with alignment to Store Operations budgets.
- Prepare and distribute daily/weekly/monthly reporting identifying key opportunity and risks to budget.
- Prepare local vendor funding reporting benchmarking to prior year and corporate counterparts.
- Create, manage, and maintain weekly Hawaii Circular budget targets. Including category slot/page allocation balance relative to programming and budget goals.
- Works with Category Managers to monitor sales, purchases, markdowns and planning vendor funding analyses to make recommendations for improving category profitability, meeting budget/forecast goals, and ensuring alignment with overall market and company strategies.

Financial accounting:
- Data entry, enforcement of SAF SOPs, manage checks from Deferred Vendor Account and corresponding journal entries to direct Deferred Account Vendor financials to the correct account, following up with vendors, etc
- Financial analysis: forecasting, variance reporting, and vendor funding analysis
- Create, manage, and maintain weekly Hawaii Circular budget targets. Including category slot/page allocation balance relative to programming and budget goals.
- Provide fiscal year budget targets and monthly coupon/markdown actuals and forecast\to the Rhode Island Financial Retail Management team.

The position needs to be based in Hawaii since all RBO colleagues are required to have 2 on-site office days to support the business.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,400
Maximum: 162,700

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in marketing or retail
• 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel and Access
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to interact inside and outside of the organization
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence actions of suppliers and category managers
• Ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proven self-starter and team player
