Sr Actuary - Cred - Large Group Rate Review and Forecasting

Job Description
Join Aetna's Large Group Rate Review and Forecasting actuarial team! Embedded in Commercial Actuarial, this team is responsible for national pricing and forecasting for our middle market business.

In this role, a candidate will have the opportunity to dive deep into 1-2 markets - responsible for leading the rate review, forecasting and rate filing efforts. They will collaborate with market partners including market actuaries, market CFOs and market UW leads while having support for their central "home" team working through similar processes in other markets.

This position also has the opportunity to manage 3-5 actuarial analysts and lead a central tool or process as a Subject Matter Expert. In this aspect, they can help shape commercial actuarial processes and drive improvements in the organization.

Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor's degree along with 7+ years of actuarial experience
- Must have your ASA or FSA
- Exposure to health care actuarial work
- Understanding of health care actuarial concepts (i.e. trend, manual rates) and how they impact the business
- Ability to communicate technical information
- Desire to improve processes through automation or new methodologies

COVID Requirements

Preferred Qualifications
- Exam progression towards ASA/FSA
- Management experience is a plus
