Pharmacy Technician - Non-Clinical Divert

This is an exciting opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians to excel in a complex, team-oriented environment while having the opportunity to develop and strengthen technical skills and pharmacology knowledge. The Non-Clinical Divert technician is responsible for screening orders, specializing in research, review and entry of prescription overrides. Our technicians are empowered to take ownership of the investigation process, and partner closely with neighboring departments to help support the efficiency and timeliness of the pharmacy workflow. We require our pharmacy technicians to think outside the box and get creative! To help support growth and development, technicians may be asked to perform other pharmacy functions as required.
Excellent verbal communication skills, math skills, the ability to work well with others, and the ability to positively deal with changes and promote a positive work environment is critical in this role. Basic knowledge and understanding of a pharmacy workflow, efficient using a computer and keyboard, strong problem solving skills and the ability to think globally is key to your success.
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
Availability Monday - Friday, 10:00a-6:30pm; rotating weekends
Minimum of 6 months of Pharmacy Technician experience in a Retail or Mail Order pharmacy setting
National Certification (CPhT or ExCPT)
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
