This role is responsible for the timely matching of remittance files to deposits in system exception queues, and the application of remittance to open deposits. The Associate monitors open deposit exceptions and contacts remittance processors to resolve issues associated with missing remittance files. In this role you will also research unpaid claims and denials and make corrections as needed and identify root cause to prevent for re occurring. This function supports the Cash Application goals of timely and accurate application of remittance files to deposits to maintain the lowest possible amount of unapplied cash as well as the account management goal of collecting on open receivable.
This position requires strong collaboration skills as it is necessary to work cross-functionally with other members of the Third Party Finance team and potentially coordinate outreaches to payers. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and good communication skills.
The role will support the growth of our retail COVID-19 revenue cycle businesses over time. It will include the timely and accurate reconciliation of COVID-19 vaccination claims, navigation of a complex insurance landscape (pharmacy, medical, uninsured). Accuracy is paramount.
• 1+ years of experience working with MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge and experience working in healthcare space
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, PPT, Word).
• Comfort engaging diverse stakeholders
• Ability to complete routinely assigned work based on productivity standards (SLA) with minimal supervision.
• Good diagnostic and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through.
• High School Diploma and/or GED Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred
