Summary/Objective
The Director of Mobility develops sales strategy, promotions, merchandising and oversees in-store sales for the mobility category
Responsibilities
- Develop and initiate product strategies to drive revenue growth and deliver greater market share of the category in physical and online stores
- Responsible for decisions relating to tactical efforts of the product management team including assortment planning, pricing and promotional campaigns
- Direct assortment planning process ensuring balance and adherence to strategic and financial objectives
- Establish and maintain effective vendor relationships
- Improve product offerings by negotiating terms with vendors, including service, price, product quality, markdown allowances, exclusivity, packaging, lead times and returns
- Analyze inventory and sales trends to develop forecasts for initial orders and product lifecycle buying plan including product exit strategy
- Partner with marketing and operations teams to develop and execute promotional strategy
- Work with visual merchandisers to developing merchandise display plans in physical and online stores
- Be knowledgeable of and anticipate market/business trends and develop a plan for response
- Participate in cross-functional task forces and projects in other areas of the business, as needed
- Travel to stores across Southern California, Arizona, and Nevada, as needed

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product management with a mix of buying, planning and placement
- Experience using problem solving and analytical skills to solve business problems
- Presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross- functional audiences
- Proven negotiation skills
- Ability to develop strong partnerships
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; a bias for action
- Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives
- Knowledge of related retail disciplines such as product management, merchandising, marketing, digital channels and operations
- Experience working in multi-cultural environments strongly preferred
- Ability to converse in Spanish strongly preferred
