LOSS PREVENTION GROUP LEADER – Bilingual English/Spanish
This position is responsible for assisting the LP Supervisor in the supervision of the entire Loss Prevention staff at assigned store location; has responsibility for the execution and evaluation of the loss prevention measures in the store; uses various types of equipment and LP techniques; develops, secures, and provides training for Curacao sales associates on Loss Prevention techniques; prepares detailed reports on the observations and activities at scene or facility for corporate review; reviews and enforces all company policies to associates and loss prevention staff.

Assist the Supervisor to oversee the Loss Prevention staff at the designated store location.
Assist and oversee scheduled staff shifts and LP coverage for the designated store.
Review and maintain loss prevention reports.
Review and maintain loss prevention equipment.
Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures.
Must be able to effectively and accurately document enforcement and investigative activities in handwritten or computer-generated reports.
Must have knowledge of the Powers of Arrest and detainment procedures.
The Loss Prevention GL will ensure reports, sketches, and photographs are given to the proper authorities, if needed to prosecute criminal activity involving the store.
Identify specific target areas where the company/store is experiencing losses and give information to store management and loss prevention agents to develop greater awareness and provide deterrence.
The incumbent must frequently interact, on a professional basis, with local law enforcement officials, district attorney, and local city officials in person or by telephone and must report case development and status to store LP Supervisor for distribution to senior LP management.
Ensure that entire Loss Prevention staff is familiar with inventory results in order to heighten loss awareness and commence proactive investigation to get to root cause of losses whether they are human or system concerns and assist in developing steps to deter losses.
Assist LP Supv. in training all Loss Prevention agents to all guidelines on physical and arrest powers.
Must make sure all staff is identifying and investigating internal theft, fraud or other serious policy violations by auditing and maintaining vigilance and through tip lines.
Oversees the proper use of company technologies e-mail, computers, phones, etc. . .
Will ensure that Loss Prevention agents will in cooperation with Inventory Management conduct random fine jewelry and damages audit to minimize losses.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Must have at least 1 year experience in loss prevention.
Bilingual English and Spanish — oral or written.
May require ability to lift heavy objects and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requires ability to walk, stand, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb, and push/pull objects.
Must be able to visually describe persons, vehicles, location or describe physical evidence by sketching, report writing and providing courtroom testimony when/if necessary.
Be able to effectively and accurately document enforcement or violations of policies in handwriting or computer-generated reports

SKILLS & ABILITIES
High School Diploma (or GED)
1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
