Principal Software Engineer
Description
We are looking for a talented Principal Software Engineer to join our team specializing in Digital Software Engineering for our Corporate Office in Columbus, IN . This is a remote offsite position.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Investigating problem areas. Anything that happens from end to end lifecycle.
- Build and design, identify data and integrations to bring in to building the product. Create continuous integrations and deployments for releases of the product.
- Troubleshooting any issues that happen between those integrations.
- Monitor data usage and evaluate load.
- Design and implement cloud solutions which are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable and optimized for all AIM product offerings.
- Design and implement cloud solutions for maintaining uptime.
- Incorporate quality and vulnerability testing before every deployment
- Build application deployment automation solutions using industry standard deployment and configuration tools.
- Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning and operating client test as well as production environments.
- Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling.
- Incident management and Root Cause Analysis skills.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Computer Engineering or related field
- 7 years of experience in the phases of cloud DevOps Life Cycle including development, integrations, testing, automation, monitoring, and build & artifact packaging, deployment systems, on-call rotation, and SCRUM/Kanban
- Azure fundamentals training and solid understanding of Cloud architecture.
- Knowledge on how to build continuous integration and continuous deployment in products that we are delivering in Azure
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GIT, and Tosca preferred
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
