We are looking for a talented Multi Skilled Emissions Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our DTO Product Development Business Unit in UK, Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Ensure equipment reliability through proactive maintenance and repair of Emissions Measurement Equipment.
- Maximize uptime by maintaining process capability and minimizing equipment downtime.
- Optimize test cell operations by prioritizing based on performance.
- Support continuous improvement by preventing potential issues.
- Ensure environmental compliance by maintaining accurate emissions measurements.
- Provide technical expertise during training and weekend shifts.
- Enhance safety and quality by ensuring equipment operates safely.
- Demonstrate adaptability with a rotating weekend shift schedule.

Shift Rota
6 months training on day shift no shift allowance. After training it was weekend shift only, 37.5 hours per week. rotating between 7.00am - 7.00pm and 7.00pm - 7.00am with shift allowance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Emissions Measurement Equipment and related systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair issues effectively.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess safety risks, prioritize tasks, and make decisions that enhance productivity and equipment availability.
- Effective Communication: Skills in communicating with employees to understand issues and coordinate with external suppliers for parts and services.
- Adaptability and Independence: Capability to work independently with limited supervision, manage a 24/7 shift schedule, and respond to equipment breakdowns promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in maintaining and repairing emissions measurement equipment, with a strong understanding of process capability and test cell operations.
- Experience in Maintenance and Repair: Proven experience in proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of technical equipment, particularly within emissions measurement or similar fields.
- Safety and Quality Focus: Experience ensuring safety and quality standards are met in equipment operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Experience in supporting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to prevent equipment issues and maximize efficiency.
