Financial Analyst
A financial analyst at CSC is a partner to the business. They serve an important role of reporting, analyzing, forecasting and budgeting the revenue, operational and capital expenses for their supporting business unit or shared service department. Financial Analysts at CSC are also called upon to perform business analytics and partake in strategic conversations. The goal of a Financial Analyst at CSC is to become a trusted business partner to their supported area, providing business enhancing analysis, guidance and recommendations.

Some of the things you will be doing:

Assist in developing a thorough allocation model for technology expenses, based on consumption and utilization of various tools and services that the technology teams offer. Additional activities include analysis of the results, benchmarking against industry trends, and recommendations for improvements in both, cost management and service utilization.

Partake in our quarterly forecast and annual budget process, focused on payroll and overhead expenses as well as capital investment planning. Ample opportunity to enhance streamlined processes through new ideas and technologies.

Work closely with business partners at all levels to analyze financial and business performance, provide recommendations, and partake in strategic initiatives.
Perform various financial calculations, create specified ad hoc reports, graphs, and charts of financial data. Responsible for day-to-day financial operational activities of supported business area.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

2+ years' experience preparing / analyzing financial budgets & forecasts

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.

Demonstrated ability to analyze, compile, interpret and summarize data from multiple sources and develop recommendations.

Thorough understanding of financial metrics and accounting concepts.

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel including data visualization

Experience with general financial systems as well as Tableau, R, SQL, Python or other data modeling tools a plus.

Self-motivated with ability to operate independently or within a team structure.

Strong organizational and process improvement skills with attention to detail.

Superior communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the company, with a strong focus on senior management.

Ability to manage multiple projects, shift priorities and meet deadlines.
