Job Summary

Handles third party injury cases appropriate for prompt resolution and associated first and third party coverages. As applicable, may own claims of less complexity when supporting catastrophes. Handles claims in multiple states.

Essential Functions/Principal Responsibilities

Completes analysis of claim including coverage, liability and damages. Conducts necessary investigation to determine liability apportionment and identify injury exposure. Secures recorded statements to confirm facts and aid in liability determination.

Is owning adjuster and handles the coordination of first party claims for insured including management of collision damages, rental and first party medical payments claims. Contributes to customer service results and NPS score.

Manages physical damage claim for third party to control expenses and provide services to aid in management and

Collects and analyzes information on medical treatment, injury exposure and wage loss. Determines documentation needed and secures as required to support injury evaluation.

Evaluates bodily injury exposures in conjunction with coverage and liability. Utilizes a settlement matrix to assist in determination of general damages. Selects appropriate settlement method through a variety of options to secure appropriate release and resolve claim in an efficient manner.

Education, Work Experience, Licenses & Certifications


BA/BS in business, insurance or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience

1-2 years of claims or related experience


2-3 years customer service experience

Bilingual a plus
