About the Role:

The CrowdStrike OverWatch team is seeking a motivated Intrusion Researcher with strong technical and communications skills to showcase technical thought leadership to CrowdStrike customers and foster growth within the broader Cyber Security community through the development, curation and dissemination of actionable threat intelligence and threat landscape insights visible through Falcon Telemetry.

As an Intrusion Researcher, you will have the opportunity to communicate detection capability and efficacy for the Falcon Endpoint platform and OverWatch Threat Hunting service via the research and tactical analysis of ongoing attacks by criminal and nation state actors impacting our customer base. If you are proficient in network/host-based intrusion analysis, threat hunting, digital forensics, incident response, or cyber threat intelligence, and you want to gain real-world experience in dealing with advanced threat actors (be they nation-state, criminal, hacktivist or other), we encourage you to apply and take a step forward in your security career.

What You'll Need:
  • You possess a deep and complex understanding of hunting methodologies and best practices, along with current and emerging threats.
  • You are comfortable assessing cyber threat intelligence, open-source intelligence or industry reporting.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging role that provides opportunities for growth and development in an unconventional team environment.
  • You are proficient in English both written and spoken with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and are both capable and comfortable communicating actionable threat intelligence to both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to represent the interests and requirements of the OverWatch organization, demonstrating your ability to collaborate and work effectively with others.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on various capability or high-visibility projects affecting OverWatch or requiring an OverWatch presence, emphasizing your flexibility and adaptability to different projects and tasks.
  • You have experience presenting at conferences, forums, or publishing written content such as blogs, showcasing your thought leadership in the cyber community and commitment to sharing knowledge and expertise.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the cyber security industry.
  • Prior experience in managed or enterprise information security services, threat hunting, incident response, forensics, threat intelligence and actor tracking, malware analysis, penetration testing, or network defense.
  • Bachelor's degree in information security or related discipline, and/or applicable industry-related certifications.
  • Proven ability to convey extremely technical concepts to audiences with varying technical prowess.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position in the U.S. is $90,000 - $145,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
