Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HR Manager to manage the entire hourly hiring process, including drafting compelling job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and preparing offer letters.


  • Organize and facilitate drug screenings, background checks, and new hire orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic databases for HR forms and employee records.


  • Support the HR Manager with administrative tasks and special projects, including data compilation, analysis, and generating reports for leadership.


  • Coordinate employee training sessions and distribute relevant materials to keep our team informed and empowered.


  • Help maintain company policies and procedures, updating electronic databases as needed to ensure compliance and clarity.


  • Process employee terminations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality throughout the workflow.


  • Assist with organizing employee events and activities, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.


  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll, PTO, and benefits questions-providing accurate, timely, and respectful support.


  • Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion, supporting a culture of trust.


  • Consistently demonstrate reliable attendance and a collaborative attitude.


  • Embrace additional duties and projects as assigned to support the HR team and organization.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; relevant college coursework or degree strongly preferred.


  • Minimum of two years' experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment and HR administration. Experience in construction or industrial settings is a plus.


  • Valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.


  • Bi-lingual proficiency is a significant asset.


Work Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.


  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.


  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance with company policies.


  • Team player willing to assist colleagues and supervisors as needed.


  • Flexibility to travel or work evenings and weekends when required.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.


  • Proficiency in office technology, including computers, copiers, and printers.


  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.


  • Ability to analyze issues independently and work effectively under deadlines.


  • Attention to detail and capacity to follow complex instructions.


  • Consistent reliability and punctuality.


Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, communicate clearly, and focus visually (with correction).


  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.


  • Fast-paced office setting with occasional moderate noise.
