Global Account Manager – ZTE

 

The Global Account Manager (GAM) will act as the primary interface between ZTE & Cree, and be responsible for solidifying Cree’s position as the preferred partner for our semiconductor portfolio of RF Power (GaN-on-SiC & LDMOS) & as applicable, Power (SiC) and LED solutions across ZTE’s footprint. This is a high-profile position with significant contribution towards the organization’s Strategic Plan underpinned by aggressive Opportunity Generation (Design In/Win targets) aimed at meeting or exceeding Revenue (Business Win/Volume Production) targets. The role will report directly to the VP Communication Infrastructure (CIFR).

 

Success in this role will be driven through creating and executing account development strategies that align with Cree’s Sales & Marketing model and experience-based proven practices. Leading & collaborating across all Field Sales & Applications Engineering touch points as well as Marketing and Customer Service, will be essential to accomplish revenue and relationship objectives. Additionally, the GAM must align with numerous functional stakeholders, e.g. Technology & Product Development, Operations, Quality Management, Finance & Executive Leadership, to be successful.

What can you do for Cree?

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders in assigned customer account(s) at all levels; Senior-, Mid- & Operational
  • Own the Global Account Strategy process & manage the development of the account in line with the business plan (annual and quarterly targets)
  • As necessary, align & assign both Demand Creation & Fulfillment targets for the account with account team members
  • Develop business cases for new Opportunities, coordinating & leveraging functional and technical peers to secure and close
  • Submit accurate & timely business forecasts, i.e. Opportunity Pipeline & Revenue (monthly & ad hoc)
  • Partner with Quality Management & Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • Collect, develop and analyze sales reports and market feedback to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline forecasts for internal uses

What you need for success:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in high-level, strategic selling, with clear evidence of achievement, credibility and acceptance at key international accounts (semiconductor experience in communications infrastructure, esp. RF Power, a distinct advantage)
  • A solid track record of excellent negotiating, presentation and written communication skills (English and Mandarin fluency)
  • A series of significant accomplishments based upon a demonstrated understanding of a major customer’s business, strategy & identified insertion points
  • Ability to gain trust and respect from customers’ managerial and sales teams
  • Solid insight to market players, ideally OEM & Operators, particularly in China
  • Intuitive ability to prioritize efforts and quickly identify and resolve challenges
  • Sound financial acumen and technical aptitude
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to balance personal goals with those of the organization
  • Ability to travel approximately 60%, including international
  • Preferred role location is Shenzhen, but Shanghai or other locations will be considered

Highly preferred skills and certifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in in Engineering, Management, or Marketing
  • While not a prerequisite, an MBA would prove an advantage
