Technical Support Manager – Lighting, Europe



The primary focus of this position is to coordinate the technical support activity and to drive revenue growth through the development of a well and professionally trained salesforce. It is required a very close collaboration with all the company functions such as operations, marketing, product development, customer service, product engineering.



  • Train and Support the salesforce on product and product technology.
  • Manage Application Engineering day by day activity
  • Coordinate all activities relative to product development support, photometric database, specification sheets and product configuration support, lighting softwares updates and upgrades, any other tool development and management to fulfill the activity of the Application Engineering department
  • Field Application support on different stages from product and project specification to after sale support
  • Functionally manage Inside Sales department
  • Support direct and indirect salesforce in developing and defending specifications
  • Coordinate dialog between commercial department and R&D and Engineering department
  • Manage special products process including revenue filter, RKTs and any other special requests
  • Coordinate specials book price
  • Represents the company at ASSIL-AIDI and other category technical committees
  • Represent the company in public technical events and conferences with lectures and related
  • Support customers visits and training both at company LEC and at customers sites
  • Jointly visit distributors and customers with the sales team in time to time
  • Support salesforce on challenging RMA’s
  • Support product marketing team on sourcing-measuring competitive product information
  • Drive revenues through supporting smart light applications and developing specific channels to add revenues of smart light products

  • College degree required or equivalent business experience
  • Electrical engineering background
  • Excellent capability of teamwork
  • Preferred 3 years general experience in the lighting industry, with a minimum of 3 years experience working with specifiers, contractors, and distributors
  • Computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Power Point and Internet Research. preferred.
  • Excellent command of English language (verbal and written)
  • Mid-high knowledge of Lighting fundamentals and lighting design demands
  • Team management skills



  • 3+ years of experience (sales and/or key accounts) in the lighting industry
  • Demonstrated history of key account sales/business development success
  • Lighting engineering background
  • Knowledge of major lighting calculation softwares
  • High level electrical engineering experience applied to lighting
