Cree offers an extensive 12-week internship program that aligns with our new hiring model and talent development strategy. Students a part of our internship program will develop knowledge and skills across their areas of interest while gaining insight into unit operations. Additionally, you will have the ability to apply academic concepts to real–world business challenges. An intern has the opportunity to be a key strategic contributor from the ground up.

What you need for success:
Enrollment in an accredited collegiate program
Maintains a 2.5 GPA or above
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work without sponsorship now or in the future
Who You’ll Work With
Cree is seeking an intern to assist the Supply Chain Team. The intern will contribute to the Supply Chain organization by managing operational functions, developing, managing and implementing a sourcing event, managing ERP system process enhancements, and/or leading a project improvement. One example of a project to be led by the right candidate is to develop/improve manufacturing bill of materials (BOMs). The use of BOMs help to (a) better plan & timely order raw goods, and (b) control raw goods inventories based on usage rates that are better aligned to manufacturing starts.
In return, the intern will (1) gain experience in the supply chain management function, (2) work closely with various departments within Cree, and (3) be exposed to operations in the fast-paced and growing LED Lighting industry.
