Position Title:  IT Solutions Architect – Sales Enablement

 

Job Summary:

This position is the go to contact for application development and sales enablement at Cree.  In this role you will provide architecture expertise in building global solutions across multiple digital channels including mobile, tablet, portals and web.  This architect will be expected to define the technical solution, manage key technical risks and help shape the delivery of our solutions.  Additionally, this position is accountable for the application development, application maintenance, and business user support for all sales systems supporting the overall Cree IT and business objectives.  This position will be a key contributor in the development, implementation, and support of sales strategies and projects with the goal of fully utilizing systems capabilities in achievement of business objectives.     

As a key member of the Cree IT Solution Delivery – Sales & Marketing Systems team, this candidate will be responsible for enabling and supporting our sales business partners.  Heavy emphasis will be placed on front end user experience development, Salesforce application development, mobile application development, and system integration.  Serving as a consultant to the business, this candidate will provide technical architecture for sales enablement projects.  Also contributes actively to the overall development and delivery of IT capabilities required to support business growth and provide a competitive advantage through the use of technology to Cree.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within a business area(s) and assist end users with the leveraging of sales systems to provide business capability for our stakeholders.
  • Governing the integration of all solutions and their integration patterns.
  • Providing expertise and consulting to all projects within our delivery function about integration, interfaces and data flows and technologies.
  • Creating, designing and reviewing solution architecture documents at high quality standards
  • Researching new technologies to optimize the current solutions and to make them sustainable for the future, applying in-house standards and market best practices
  • Gathering Clients Digital requirements and translating them to technical solutions and systems design
  • Utilizing your knowledge and experience of web/mobile solution and deployment architectures (Large scale, High Availability)
  • Utilizes your deep understanding of software design principles in creating custom software solutions or modifying package solutions including integration
  • Provide technical expertise in the development, support, and implementation of Salesforce for Cree business partners. Technology areas include Salesforce Lightning component development, data integration leveraging tools like Dell Boomi, and ASP.net application development.
  • Manage delivery of assigned solutions and tasks on time, within budget and to customer expectations.
  • Adhere to IT Architecture principles and guidelines.
  • Work within fast paced and dynamic team focused on delivering high quality solutions that help our business partners succeed.

 

 

What you need for success?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience in application development supporting sales enablement related processes.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in architecture for digital & eCommerce projects
  • At least 3 years’ experience in mobile-specific architecture skills, experienced across mobile/tablet application platforms (e.g. iOS, Android, and/or Hybrid applications)
  • At least 3 years’ experience in working with middleware and integration approaches with various web services and message exchanges (i.e. JSON & REST, or also SOAP & XML)
  • Knowledge about Salesforce.com Portfolio, A/B Testing, PCI, Tag Management, Web content management, Marketing Automation, SEO/SEM, Digital Asset Management, Social Media, Mobile Experience delivering customer facing solutions in agile environment.
  • Historical and proven knowledge and practical application of Visualforce, APEX programming, Force.com APIs, and Web Services
  • Salesforce Developer certification is preferred
  • Strong problem solving skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to work with business customer to understand and define requirements for small projects and enhancements.
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 environment across multiple time zones

 

Highly preferred skills and certifications

  • Experience with manufacturing, ideally in the Industrial Electronics and Electrical Equipment industry
