Manager Production Control

Job Description

Summary: This individual is responsible for all long range planning, production control and scheduling for LED wafers, SiC wafer sales and Power and RF substrates. This individual must be very detail oriented and will work closely with other members of the planning, production control, engineering, marketing, and finance teams in the Materials business. This individual will also interact with the planning and operations teams in other Cree business units.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create monthly plan for starts and inventory and work with IE to assess capital requirements
  • Assess any risk to customer commitments and drive mitigation strategies with Operations
  • Compile daily a business snapshot of open orders, FGI and WIP
  • Create daily shipment lists from an analysis of open orders and available inventory
  • Respond to daily Customer Service requests for schedule changes and returns
  • Maintain order acknowledgments for customer commit dates
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of planning systems and models
  • Facilitate communication with other internal business units

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) due to ITAR restrictions in our Materials business group
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, supply chain management, or other related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter with strong personal work ethic; must have a "whatever it takes" attitude
  • Ability to support a 24x7 manufacturing environment
  • Extensive experience with databases and data analysis tools (Excel ,SQL, Access, JMP, VBA, etc)

Preferences:

  • Master's Degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, or other related field
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, production control, or process engineering
  • Clean room production experience
