Environmental, Health and Safety Intern

Students a part of our internship program will develop knowledge and skills across their areas of interest while gaining insight into unit operations. Additionally, you will have the ability to apply academic concepts to real–world business challenges. An intern has the opportunity to be a key strategic contributor from the ground up.

What you need for success: 

Enrollment in an accredited collegiate program 

Maintains a 2.5 GPA or above 

Excellent communication skills 

Relevant Experience 

Ability to work without sponsorship now or in the future 


Who You’ll Work With 

As an EH&S Intern, you will have the following responsibilities: 


  • Build effective relationships with internal teams focusing on customer service-based solutions. 
  • Collaborate with site groups to institute controls and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions and equipment. 
  • Lead Job Safety or Health Hazard Analysis with supervisors or their designees. 
  • Working with supervisors or their designees; evaluate procedures and translate job task information into comprehensive Job Hazard Analysis. 
  • Implement occupational health and safety programs and serve as EHS interface with business units. 
  • Manage multiple programs/projects simultaneously and effectively implement the programs/projects in a complex environment. 
  • Participate as an active member of the site’s Emergency Response Team. 
  • Support incident investigations with business units, determine causes and drive corrective actions.
