Operations Associate - Data Partnerships & Solutions

At Credit Karma, we pride ourselves on being a data-driven company. Data enables us to build innovative products, extend our mission (making financial progress possible for everyone) to more people, and make informed decisions. We also have a lot of data with Credit Karma’s 80+ million members. 

The Data Partnerships and Solutions team manages all of Credit Karma’s data partnerships. Those relationships range from the credit bureaus to auto data providers to unclaimed property. As our data partnerships grow in number and importance, the team is looking for an Operations Associate to build out and manage a data quality program. The program will measure the performance and quality of our partners’ data services and then determine actionable steps that deliver meaningful improvements (e.g. how do we increase coverage of employment data for the Credit Karma population). This role will be responsible for collaborating with various internal, cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Product, Marketing) and external partners. Ultimately, your goal is to make the data that we get from our partners even better. 

What will you do?

  • Build a data quality program from the ground-up 
  • Develop frameworks and processes to measure data quality, coverage, and service levels
  • Provide reporting to executives, the Data Partnerships and Solutions team, and other stakeholders
  • Drive actionable plans with internal teams and external partners to make quality improvements
  • Support management of partner relationships to ensure data quality & business value
  • Conduct research on ecosystems and due diligence with partners to understand data sources, benefits, and coverage

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in data and operations
  • Subject matter expert – Skillful in building and driving continuous improvement of operational metrics 
  • Self-starter – Shows significant initiative and relentless ability to get things done across many competing priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Problem solver - Comfortable with ambiguity, capable of structuring new frameworks and processes independently 
  • Team player / collaborator - Proven ability to collaborate with Product and Engineering functions and experience with technical integrations and partner on-boarding
